Q.
My son / daughter is in 8th grade and has never played
guitar before. What program do
recommend?
A. If your
son/daughter has little or no experience playing the
guitar, we will schedule a series of lessons to provide the
necessary instruction to encourage and help him or her
achieve a specific skill set.
Once we assess that a specific skill set has been achieved,
we will recommend placement into one of our programs.

A. If your son / daughter has some experience playing
guitar, and is in 7th or 8th grade, we recommend that you
choose “Getting’ Serious”. Age appropriate peer grouping is
essential when combining cooperative learning and group
instruction strategies.
Please be aware that Community Music will implement a
system of differentiated instruction to meet the needs of
all students. During the first weeks we will be sure to
provide the guidance and instruction that will allow them
to interact in the ensemble.
