Special
Circumstances
(Schedules
& Experience)
In some cases we
may be able to customize a program that would address both
a student’s schedule and his or her developmentally
appropriate musical needs.
This may be the case if:
1. You are registering after the semester has begun.
2. You have limited availability but still wish to pursue a
quality music education for your child.
3. Your child has little or no experience on his or her
preferred instrument and still desires a quality music
education.
What
we recommend
In any of the above “special circumstances”, we would
recommend scheduling one 30-minute private lesson to see
how you and your child feels about the program. This will
also give you the opportunity to visit with us and give us
the opportunity to answer any additional questions about
our curriculum.
During the initial lesson, we would take that opportunity
to assess your child’s current musical skill level and
place him or her into a program the best meets their
developmentally approprate musical needs.
Depending on availability, we would recommend either a
series of private lessons or a combination of private
lessons and ensemble sessions.
Community Music will make sure to provide your child with
the essential material and guidance to succeed. We will
focus on his or her individual musical needs and provide
resources and instruction that will assist them to acquire
the fundamental skills to contribute and learn in a group
activity.
